Esencia
Loewe Esencia is an eau de parfum with a woody, earthy character anchored by patchouli, with aromatic and warm spicy facets and a soft balsamic, gourmand warmth. A bright lemon opening gives way to a heart of amber, cedarwood and vetiver, and the drydown settles into a deeper base of benzoin and oakmoss. It develops gradually, so the scent shifts over the first hours rather than arriving all at once.
The fragrance feels dense and grounded, evoking a forest floor after rain: rich, woody and quietly textured. A thread of tonka bean sweetness keeps the woods from feeling austere, adding a comforting warmth that softens the earthier notes without making them sugary.
Projection is strong, so a little goes a long way and the scent is noticeable in a room. It is long lasting on the skin, generally staying present well into the day and evening.
Because it moves easily between settings, Esencia suits professional environments, casual days and nights out alike. It works across all four seasons, though its warmth feels especially natural in autumn and winter. The Composition
Esencia Eau de Parfum by Loewe is structured with layered accords that give the composition both clarity and controlled depth. The structure feels deliberate rather than excessive, moving with balance from its initial impression into a more grounded and composed core.
The opening is defined by Lavender, Juniper Berry, Bergamot, Tarragon, Lemon, Galbanum, Artemisia, Petitgrain , delivering brightness and immediate lift while establishing the tonal direction of the fragrance.
As it develops, the heart introduces Pine Needles, Basil, Clary Sage, Geranium, Nutmeg, Neroli, Rose, Jasmine, Blackcurrant, Lily-of-the-Valley , creating a more textured centre. The transition remains smooth, allowing each note to emerge without disrupting the overall balance of the structure.
The base settles into Fir, Oakmoss, Leather, Vetiver, Styrax, Cedarwood, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, Tonka Bean , providing cohesion and depth to the drydown while maintaining continuity with the freshness established in the opening.
