Fidji
Fidji by Guy Laroche has been available since 1966, and its character is green, floral and warm at once. It opens with a bright, sparkling freshness of bergamot and a touch of tuberose, then moves into a heart of aldehydes, jasmine and rose that gives it a soft, powdery floral quality. Iris runs through the middle, lending a cool, elegant powderiness.
As it settles, the scent becomes earthier and more grounded. Vetiver and a dry woody depth emerge beneath the florals, with a faintly aromatic, spicy warmth that keeps the composition from feeling sweet. The overall impression is of classic refinement rather than novelty, and it reads as both timeless and current.
