Blue Grass
Elizabeth Arden's Blue Grass Eau de Parfum is a fragrance first introduced in 1936, and it still reads as a refined, lively scent with a distinctly aromatic character. It opens bright and crisp, with a sparkling, slightly soapy lift, and a green lavender thread running through its early moments. Lily and orange blossom give the opening a soft, airy brightness.
As it settles, the heart turns warmer and more spiced. Carnation and clove bring a peppery, cosy richness, while jasmine and tuberose add a full, creamy floral presence. Rose appears here too, rounding the florals into something lush without becoming heavy.
The base is dry and grounding, built on woods and resins with a gentle sweetness. Sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver give a smooth, earthy warmth, and a soft amber-like finish keeps the fragrance comforting as it fades.
Blue Grass tends to project strongly and generally lasts well into the day, so a light application is usually enough.
